The latest version of the Qalcwise platform brings a number of improvements that will be appreciated primarily by application developers, administrators, and advanced users. Qalcwise 2.3 includes new formulas, additional debugging capabilities, more convenient management of scheduled tasks, and changes that improve everyday work with data and grids.

Filter XML - new formula for working with XML data

Qalcwise 2.3 introduces a new FilterXML formula that allows you to retrieve data from XML text using XPath expressions. This function reads the values ​​of elements within an XML structure, and the result is returned as a text representation of all matched values.

RowNumber - row numbering in the table

The new RowNumber formula returns the current row number in the table, based on the current data display order. This function can only be used in the table section.

Change in aliases

Since version 2.3, the alias name must contain at least 4 characters.

Data export application instance to XLSX

The "Export from Database" action has been expanded to include the ability to export application instance data. Data is exported to an .xlsx file.

Planned tasks available in the administration panel

A new "Scheduled Tasks" tab has been added to the administration panel. This allows you to manage jobs directly from the panel—without having to use internal.

Autocomplete instead of a drop-down list

The default behavior when dragging a field from the "Data" tab has changed. Instead of the classic drop-down list, an autocomplete field now appears in the cell.

Changes to the default formula autocomplete

After dragging a field from the "Data" tab, the default lookup formula no longer contains unique().

Formatting numbers in gridview

In Qalcwise 2.3 it is now possible to set the number format in a number column in gridview.

Confirmation deleting multiple records

When deleting multiple rows in gridview, a confirmation window is displayed informing you of the number of records selected.

Limit of items in lookup (array)

If the array used in the lookup condition contains more than 1000 elements, the system will display an error message.

In Qalcwise 2.3, a new action has appeared that allows you to change the application language in an instance.

Detailed Technical information about the application

Qalcwise 2.3 now offers the ability to view detailed technical information about applications. To use this feature, simply add the &__meta__=true parameter to the URL. 

After adding the parameter, you can check, among others: 

• instance opening time,
• size of the instance in the database,
• size of data sent from the server,
• lookup sizes.
