At last, a long-awaited change has taken place – the Tax Office has allowed entrepreneurs to store VAT invoices in the cloud and destroy paper originals. This is an important step toward reducing dependence on paper in business and accelerating digital transformation.
Companies were previously required to store paper invoice originals, which created the need for appropriate storage space and security measures. Such archives were exposed not only to damage or theft, but also to risks such as fire or flooding.
In addition, processing paper documents is significantly more time-consuming, prone to human error, and costly.
Now the Tax Office has finally agreed that tax settlements can be based on invoices stored in electronic form, where paper originals can be destroyed after scanning. There are also no obstacles to storing documents in electronic archives, so-called “the cloud” (as reported by rp.pl).
At Qalcwise, we have been helping companies move from offline to online business for years by automating document workflows and replacing paper with digital documents.
