The long-awaited change has finally occurred - the Tax Office allowed entrepreneurs to store VAT invoices in the cloud and destroy paper originals. This is an important step towards making business independent from paper and digitalization!
Companies were obliged to keep paper originals of invoices, which made it necessary to provide appropriate space and security for such archives. The document was exposed not only to destruction, theft, but also to fire or flooding. Moreover, processing paper documents is much more time-consuming, prone to human errors and expensive.
Finally, the Tax Office agreed to settle taxes on the basis of invoices archived electronically, the originals of which will be destroyed after scanning. There are no obstacles to storing documents in the form of an electronic archive, in the so-called cloud (reports the website rp.pl).
