A white list of VAT taxpayers has been in force since September 2019. Verifying the VAT status of contractors is an additional administrative obligation for entrepreneurs. The white list available on the website of the Ministry of Finance includes information on registration, deregistration and VAT taxpayer status, as well as bank account numbers of entrepreneurs. It is kept by the head of the National Tax Administration in electronic form and updated every business day, once a day. Verification of contractors is the obligation of all enterprises; payments to an account other than the one indicated on the white list will be subject to sanctions from January 1, 2020. The entrepreneur will also not be able to include in the costs of a transaction exceeding PLN 15. PLN, made without the intermediation of a payment account or by transfer to an account other than one included on the white list.
